Project and Client Management
I have been the primary client contact for 50+ migrations and redesigns. On these projects, I managed the information architecture, user research, and content strategy activities; assigned and approved editorial and visual design work; and collaborated with dev/ops colleagues to define custom development requirements.
Workshops and Training
Workshops I have developed and taught include Writing and Editing for the Web, Writing for User Experience, Everyday Accessibility for Site Editors, and Video Production for the Web. When I worked as a UX team lead, I also oversaw the development of curriculum and learning materials for our training and support program.
As the digital director for Dartmouth’s Advancement Communications team, I lead strategy for the capital campaign website, which presents a broad array of online giving opportunities and borrows key elements from crowdfunding sites to encourage online giving. I presented a case study at both EduWeb19 and HighEdWeb19. The presentation covers the research and strategy behind this CASE Award-winning website, as well as our focus on continuous improvement and plans for the final phase of campaign.
Content Repository Project
I was part of the leadership team responsible for envisioning a bidirectional content sharing system, architecting the complex workflows, defining custom content types, and designing the user interface. I also managed the migration of content into the new system as well as the development of our new curriculum for training site editors.
Rockefeller Center for Public Policy
For this academic center, I developed user personas, conducted user testing, created the information architecture, and collaborated with our developer to create a custom content type for their reports database.
Dartmouth Financial Aid Site
I conducted extensive user testing for this project and organized a readability audit so that we could triage re-writing efforts on this critical site. I also worked with the site owner to revise instructional video content in order to make it fully accessible.
Draper & Co.
For this coaching collective, led by an extraordinary consultant and public speaker, I developed the information architecture, content strategy, and content. I then designed and built the site using Wix.
